Guarding and Protection
From Suzuki DR650 Wiki
Things can go bump in the night... or day. Adding a skid plate and other protective devices is a very common mod on the DR650.
[edit] Links that can help
- Suzuki's optional skid plate item # 24 P/N 42500-32810
- UtahSportcycle's DR650 Bash Plate
- Turbo City's DR650 Guarding options
- B&B bashplate (Australia)
- Whipps bashplate (Australia)
- Advanced Motorcycle Products' side case guards - these guards are expensive ($30 per side, plus $40 for an oil filter cover) and are of marginal fit/finish. The web site displays them as polished and with logos milled into them, but they are delivered only rough-sanded with an orbital sander. Also, no mounting method is provided, and you must glue them to your case with silicone RTV cement, which is also not provided. Still, they appear to be the only case side guards available.
- LightSpeed carbon fiber front disc guard
